In vivo p.o. administration within mice model assays for analgesic indicators displayed a potency of 15%-21% as comparable to the reference standard morphine, with less signs of sedative-type behavioral indications at doses yielding equivalent analgesic responses. Lower level beta-arrestin expression was determined indicating a potential for a lower potentiation toward tolerance. Gastrointestinal transit (IGIT) was also significantly of lower ratio to analgesic efficacy as compared with Morphine at only ~13% of the comparable IGIT at equivalent analgesic dosages.
Future Human Clinical Trial Protocols:
Dose arms of 75mg, 150mg, and 300mg for assessment to provide benefit of analgesic efficacy toward chronic pain and severe acute pain conditions.
